Consultation on Contracts, Transparency and Termination of Services

The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) is publishing this regulatory Consultation which proposes that MCA’s decisions titled ‘Modifications to the Terms and Conditions of Subscriber Contracts’ published in 2011 and ‘Subscriber Contracts’ published in 2012 are updated and consolidated into one final decision. Besides updating these decisions, the MCA is also proposing a new set of additional rules to be adhered to by Electronic Communications Service Providers. The proposals included in MCA’s consultation cover various subject matters including ‘contracts’, ‘transparency’ and ‘termination of service/s’ and are intended to enhance end-user protection within the industry.

Interested stakeholders and the general public are encouraged to participate in this consultative process and to submit any feedback electronically on consultations@mca.org.mt by not later than the 11th of April 2022.
