Career Opportunity: Housekeeper

Prime focus of Position

The housekeeper is responsible for all cleaning within the Authority’s premises and for ensuring that appropriate stock levels of general supplies are well maintained and appropriately stored.
 

Responsibilities

  • The vacuuming of carpet surfaces and dusting of the office premises and venetian blinds;
  • Sweeping and moping of floor services;
  • Cleaning of toilets including refilling of soap dispensers and toilet dispensers as necessary;
  • Cleaning of desks surfaces and windows / glass partitions;
  • Reporting anything in need of repairs;
  • Disposing of garbage and emptying of waste paper bins and replacing bin liners as necessary; 
  • Ensuring that office premises are kept clean, neat and tidy;
  • Maintaining stock levels of general supplies related to kitchen, kitchenettes, toilets, meeting rooms, etc;
  • Participating in the preparation of meeting rooms; and
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Manager, HR & Administration.
     

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Basic level of education (school leaving certificate) & good manners;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English & Maltese;
  • Ability to organise own work, use initiative and tact and work with the minimum of supervision;
  • Able to relate well to others, with well-developed interpersonal skills; & 
  • A recent & clean police conduct must be presented with the application.
     

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary bracket is between €11,275 – €16,153. 

In addition, the employment package will also include:

  • Up to 15% performance bonus
  • Health insurance
