The Malta Communications Authority welcomes nominations for the fifth edition of the MCA eBusiness Awards

Coming up to the 5th edition, the ‘MCA eBusiness Awards’ is now a well established, unique annual event of its kind in Malta because it is the only award locally that acknowledges the effective integration of ICT applications in the entrepreneurial efforts of individuals and organizations. The MCA is pleased to announce that the nomination period for the upcoming edition is now open.

For the past four editions, these awards have showcased some of the best solutions that have been developed by locally-based ICT organizations which, amongst other attributes combine creativity, information technology, as well as business or social innovation. Ranging from start-ups to long-established organizations, these awards offer an outstanding opportunity for visibility both to the nominated solutions, as well as to the organizations that have adopted them as part of their daily operations. They also give well deserved credit to the efforts and unique talents demonstrated in the innovative business initiatives of the persons and companies that successfully blended web-based technologies with entrepreneurship.

In a brief comment about this year’s awards MCA Chairman Dr Edward Woods said ‘‘Motivated by the feedback received from the industry and the growing importance of the ICT sector as an indispensable economic pillar, the MCA is not only committed to continue organizing these awards but has renewed energy to strengthen the profile of the sector through acknowledging best efforts.”

Dr Woods added that ‘’Innovation is a critical element of the survival kit for industry players in today’s competitive business environment and should be the main driving force behind every digital solution or project.’’
