Roaming - What is Roam Like At Home (RLAH) and in which European countries does it apply?

Answer

Roam Like At Home (RLAH) is an EU measure that allows you to use your mobile phone while travelling abroad in certain countries without paying extra roaming charges.

Since June 2017, RLAH has applied when roaming in any EU Member State or European Economic Area (EEA) country (i.e. Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway). As of January 2026, RLAH tariffs also apply when roaming in Moldova or Ukraine. These countries are collectively referred to as the RLAH zone.

This means you will generally be charged the same as if you were using your phone at home when roaming in any of these countries.

The following table lists the countries where RLAH applies.
