MCA Decision on the definition, assessment of competition and regulation of leased line markets

The MCA is today publishing its final decision on the definition, assessment of competition and regulation of leased line markets in Malta.

This decision follows an earlier national consultation exercise carried out between the 31st of July 2012 and the 28th of September 2012.

Submissions were received from GO plc., Vodafone (Malta) Ltd., and the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (‘the MCCAA’).

In line with the requirements set out in Article 7(3) of the Framework Directive, the MCA notified its response to consultation and draft decision to the the EU Commission and the body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC). The Commission published its Decision Letter on the 3rd of December 2012.
