Consumer Perception Survey - Broadband Internet

The MCA has today published the results of a survey it carried out between July and September, in order to gauge consumer perceptions and satisfaction levels with regard to broadband internet services. This is the first in a series of surveys, which will also cover mobile and fixed telephony, as well as broadcasting services.

Internet and eCommerce Usage Study - April '09

The first qualitative study related to internet and eCommerce usage commissioned by the MCA to analyse in more depth the public’s perceptions, fears and concerns of transacting over the Internet. A number of focus groups were conducted, selected from a pre-defined sample of the population. Open-ended questions were used to elicit in-depth replies and to ensure productive discussions.

The MCA carried out its fifth eCommerce survey to obtain an indication of the level of eCommerce usage across the islands and the sector’s potential for growth. The previous national surveys on e-Commerce individual usage have assessed the extent to which the public at large is making use of e-Commerce, and identified trends and changes in individual preferences by comparing results across surveys. The national survey is now in its fifth edition, with the aim of monitoring the usage of this sector among the Maltese population. In this presentation, the results of the five surveys carried out so far are compared to identify trends and changes in consumers’ behaviour patterns.

The MCA has commissioned Ernst & Young to carry out its 4th e-Commerce survey aimed at gaining insight of the level of e-Commerce usage across the Maltese Islands and to assess its potential for growth. By comparing the results in this survey with previous ones conducted by the MCA, it is possible to identify trends and changes in buying behaviour patterns.

eCommerce enablers & suppliers survey - March '07

The MCA commissioned a qualititative study to analyse the supply-side of the Maltese eCommerce market. A number of interviews with eCommerce service providers were conducted. This document provides an overview of the results achieved.
